When you’re installing Windows 11 for the first time, you’ll be asked to activate it using a product key. If you bought Windows 11 key from our website, that key will be sent to you by email instead of coming in a box.
During Installation
- Start installing Windows 11 using your USB or other installation media.
- When you see the screen asking for a product key, check your email for the product key you received after purchase.
- Type it in exactly as it appears.
- Click Next to move on.
Tip: Can’t find the email ? Try checking your spam/junk folder or search your inbox for your order confirmation.
Continue Setup
After entering your key:
- Accept the license terms
- Choose your installation type
- Pick where you want Windows installed
From there, Windows will continue installing (your PC may restart a few times).
Activation
Once everything is set up and you’re connected to the internet, Windows should activate automatically using the key you entered.
To double-check:
- Open Settings
- Go to System
- Click Activation
You should see that Windows is activated.
If You Skipped the Product Key
No worries if you clicked I don’t have a product key during setup, you can still activate later:
- Open Settings
- Go to System > Activation
- Click Change product key
- Enter the key from your email
A Few Quick Tips
- Make sure your product key matches your version of Windows (Home, Pro, etc.)
- You’ll need an internet connection for activation
- Double-check what you type, small mistakes can cause errors
